I would try this in restaurants. This sounds delicious.

They are served a lot in stations in Japan, as a sort of platform food, served with soba. I have seen them recently here in London at Marukame Udon. Have you tried them?

No. But we have several Japanese restaurants and Asian markets where I live, so my first taste might be an instant bowl.

Yes! They are very moreish, I love them once in a while especially on rice or to soak up some dashi flavour. Have you cooked kakiage at home?
